AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCHES

Automatic Transfer Switch

Automatic transfer switches (ATS) are essential components of any backup generator system. They allow for automatic switching between the main power supply and the generator power supply when a power outage occurs. When the ATS detects a power outage, it will immediately signal the generator to start and transfer the load to the generator's power source. This process ensures that there is no disruption in the power supply, and critical systems such as security, lighting, and heating/cooling systems can continue to operate seamlessly.

Automatic transfer switches also provide an added level of safety by preventing the generator from back-feeding power into the grid, which can be hazardous to utility workers. With an ATS, backup generator systems can operate automatically and reliably, providing peace of mind and an uninterrupted power supply during emergencies.
